Omega Communication for Bayer Animal Health

“Flying Dogs” is a nationwide series of competitions that dogs present acrobatic skills in playing with a plastic disk (frisbee). These are spectacular events, attended by hundreds of animal, sports and healthy lifestyle fans – often by whole families. Bayer, as a partner of the events, provided the Mobile Clinic during the series, including advice of veterinary surgeons and first aid for dogs’ demontrations. Omega Communication was responsible for media relations focused on commitment of Bayer and Advantix brand (drops againts ticks, fleas and mosquitos). The project lasted from June to September 2018, and included cooperation with specialized media (for veterinarians), media for hobbyists (for dog owners), marketing media, as well as general information and life-style media in Warsaw, Poznań, Wrocław and the Tri-City area.

WIN PR Group – network meeting in Kraków

This year Kraków has welcomed the owners of agencies collaborating within the WIN PR Group (formerly Whiteoaks International Network). This was already the 11th network meeting, hosted this time by Omega Communication.

The main topics of this year’s international discussions were: Employee Advocacy Programs – how to effectively make the employees part of company communication, how to build effective and safe processes inside organisations and how to motivate the sales departments to participate in such projects.

The participants have also discussed the trends in public relations and communication – the changing media landscape, increasing role of automation and technologies that impact the entire industry.

The two-day meeting was also an opportunity for sharing best practices on agency management – a significant part of the time was spent on effective employee training, particularly of fresh employees, as well as gamification as a building block of company culture and employee commitment.

#SmartIndustryPolska 2018 – results of the study

Companies allocate 14,5% of the revenues in implementation of new technologies. Regardless barriers, Polish manufacturing enterprises from the SME sector still plan to invest in the technological development. The majority of companies was also improving employees’ competences through trainings, and even more companies plan to do that. Entrepreneurs expect from the state reducing the burden of bureaucracy, providing tax incentives and adapting education of technical staff by schools and universities to the needs of the modern industry.

Such were the conclusions of the study “Smart Industry Polska 2018” carried out in April for Siemens and the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology by Kantar Millward Brown on the group of companies: micro, small and medium-sized.

Smart City in Poland – cooperation is a must

Infrastructure’s development is one of the key elements of the economic growth of Poland. One of the tools supporting this element may be a public-private partnership (PPP), enabling for leveraging capital, knowledge and experience of the private sector in financing public investments and services. On the 9th of May 2018, in the Ministry of Investment and Economic Development, the conference Smart City in Poland was held. The aim of the seminary was promoting cooperation between public and private sector regarding Smart City. Over 70 representatives of the self-government administration from all across Poland participated in the event. The Ministry of Investment and Economic Development as well as Rzeszow city assumed patronage of the event.

Atrial fibrillation – already an epidemic?

It is estimated that fibrillation concerns 600-700 thousand people in Poland. In view of pervasiveness of this arrhythmia and increasing number of incidence, we can speak about an epidemic. This problem was the topic of the press meeting prior to the medical conference Arythmix. Over 20 journalists from the leading media met with medical experts who highlighted the importance of proper prevention and effective therapies.

No company is too small for robotization

A segment of collaborative robots has been growing dynamically and Universal Robots – market pioneer and leader – in 2017 generates revenue of 170 mln USD – 72% growth as comparing to the previous year. On the 5th of April in Warsaw, Jürgen von Hollen, President of Universal Robots, during the third Cobots Expert’s Breakfast meeting, discussed market trends, results of human-robot collaboration and the role of Universal Robots in providing access to automation for companies of each size.

Siemens launches the Women Engineers 4.0 programme

Currently, women are only 20-25% of the whole employees of Polish technology companies with an innovative character. Siemens, in cooperation with the Perspektywy Educational Foundation and the Ministry of Enterprise and Technology, wants to change this and addresses a special program to women studying at technical universities. The programme is aimed at increasing their digital competences in the field of Industry 4.0. There were prepared workshops for “Engineers 4.0” project, which will be conducted by experts in various fields: manufacturing technology, finance in industry and communication. This programme is a part of Siemens activities aimed at growing women’s potential in technology industry. In addition to gaining knowledge, participants of the project have the opportunity to take part in a competition where the main prize will be a trip for 3 people to Hannover Messe in April 2018.

Robots by Mobile Industrial Robots in Warsaw

Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) for the first time presented its solutions in Warsaw. “Both local companies and international corporations with manufacturing plants in the region face challenges related to optimization of production costs. Robotization seems to be a natural solution, becoming more available to a wide range of companies,” said Jesper Sonne Thimsen, Area Sales Manager CEE, MiR, who hosted the press meeting and discussed the Central and Eastern Europe market and opportunities that autonomous mobile robots give to the internal logistics. It was the first meeting in our region. Next ones will be held in Prague on 28th February and in Budapest on 1st March.

Siemens at We Change Polish Industry Forum

Holistic education of staff as a response to challenges of Industry 4.0 – such conclusion was drawn by participants of We Change Polish Industry Forum. Reality and future of Industry 4.0 were discussed by Maciej Chorowski, NCBR; Zbigniew Palenica, Solaris, Przemysław Zakrzewski, ABB; Adam Czyżewski, Orlen; Andrzej Soldaty; Initiative for the Polish Industry 4.0; Stefan Życzkowski, Astor; Tomasz Haiduk, Siemens. The discussion was moderated by Jacek Ziarno, Editor in Chief of the Nowy Przemysł magazine. The event was held in Warsaw, on the 25th January.
