World Sight Day with Essilor – “See the Better Future”

„See the Better Future” is the vision examination program for children from orphanages. The initiator of the program, the Essilor Group, together with the partner: Fundacja Przyjaciółka and the ambassador: the fashion designer Lidia Kalita – shared the results during the World Sight Day, on 12th October this year in the Warsaw-located Akademia Restaurant. The event hosted almost 100 guests – including representatives of media, opticians and celebrities – actors and other ambassadors of the campaign. In 2017, under the program, 4000 children in total will be diagnosed – until now the Essilor Group has provided glasses for 1000 of young ones.
Omega Communication was responsible for the media relations and full organization of the event. It is already the third edition of the World Sight Day appointed to our agency by the Essilor Group.

Opportunities and challenges of digitization of industry

Support for business through applications driving greater efficiencies with more intelligence, less error and greater data control. These were the themes discussed by the speakers at this year Infor Next Poland held in Warsaw on October 10th. Infor (leading provider of beautiful business applications specialised by industry) representatives presented how important for manufacturing companies is the effective supply chain and assets management, practical use of Internet of Things, Infor Cloud, as well as achieving timeliness of budgeting, planning and consolidation of results with such applications as d/Epm or Birst. Particular product break outs were dedicated to Infor M3, Infor LN and Infor CloudSuite Industrial.

Cobots Expert’s Breakfast #2 – safety

Safety of robotic systems, adaptation of collaborative robots to the already existing rules was the topic of the second meeting from the Cobots Expert’s Breakfast series. The event was held on the 27th September in the Warsaw-located Sofitel Victoria hotel. The themes were discussed by Roberta Nelson Shea, Global Technical Compliance Officer at Universal Robots, a longtime member of the U.S. National Robot Safety Committee and the Convenor of the ISO committee publishing technical specifications on risk assessments of collaborative robots.

120 anniversary of the acetylsalicylic acid

Scientists, representatives of industry and non-governmental organizations, as well as journalists, participated in the 120th anniversary of the acetylsalicylic acid. It is the active ingredient of Aspirin by Bayer. Participants of this very special event learned that the small white pill was included in the equipment of the Mission Apollo 11 to the Moon and entered the Guinness Book of Records. It was also the official launch of new popularizing workshops “How to put out the fire in throat? – about inflammation, fever and pain” in the Health Laboratory Baylab.

Cobots Expert’s Breakfast launches

Effective use of collaborative robots in SME sector was the topic of the first meeting inaugurating the series “Cobots Expert’s Breakfast” – an initiative launched in Warsaw by Universal Robots on 30th May. The event was hosted by Slavoj Musilek –General Manager CEE at Universal Robots and Marcin Gwóźdź – Poland Sales Development Manager at Universal Robots. Economic aspects of the impact of robotisation on the development of the enterprises were discussed by Krzysztof Łapiński –  Institute of Forecasts and Economic Analyses expert.

Smart Industry Poland 2017: SME sector in Poland

With the conference at the Polish Press Agency Siemens begins communication of the Smart Industry Poland 2017 program. In cooperation with the Ministry of Development a complex research focused on an analysis of SME industry companies situation was conducted. The surveys were carried out by Kantar Millward Brown Poland. The speakers during the meeting for business and industry media were: Jan Filip Staniłko, Ministry of Development, Tomasz Hajduk, Siemens, Ph. D. Izabella Anuszewska, Kantar Millward Brown.
