Cobots Expert’s Breakfast #2 – safety

Safety of robotic systems, adaptation of collaborative robots to the already existing rules was the topic of the second meeting from the Cobots Expert’s Breakfast series. The event was held on the 27th September in the Warsaw-located Sofitel Victoria hotel. The themes were discussed by Roberta Nelson Shea, Global Technical Compliance Officer at Universal Robots, a longtime member of the U.S. National Robot Safety Committee and the Convenor of the ISO committee publishing technical specifications on risk assessments of collaborative robots.

120 anniversary of the acetylsalicylic acid

Scientists, representatives of industry and non-governmental organizations, as well as journalists, participated in the 120th anniversary of the acetylsalicylic acid. It is the active ingredient of Aspirin by Bayer. Participants of this very special event learned that the small white pill was included in the equipment of the Mission Apollo 11 to the Moon and entered the Guinness Book of Records. It was also the official launch of new popularizing workshops “How to put out the fire in throat? – about inflammation, fever and pain” in the Health Laboratory Baylab.

Cobots Expert’s Breakfast launches

Effective use of collaborative robots in SME sector was the topic of the first meeting inaugurating the series “Cobots Expert’s Breakfast” – an initiative launched in Warsaw by Universal Robots on 30th May. The event was hosted by Slavoj Musilek –General Manager CEE at Universal Robots and Marcin Gwóźdź – Poland Sales Development Manager at Universal Robots. Economic aspects of the impact of robotisation on the development of the enterprises were discussed by Krzysztof Łapiński –  Institute of Forecasts and Economic Analyses expert.

The importance of sustainable agriculture grows

More than 80 percent of the farmers are familiar with the term „sustainable agriculture”, and every second agriculturalist expects importance of this term to rise in the future. These are the results of a research presented by Bayer during press conference on 26th May in Warsaw. The results were commented by experts, sharing experience of their cooperation with farmers. The conference was made even more appealing by the launch of new innovative VR application “Virtual Farm”.

Smart Industry Poland 2017: SME sector in Poland

With the conference at the Polish Press Agency Siemens begins communication of the Smart Industry Poland 2017 program. In cooperation with the Ministry of Development a complex research focused on an analysis of SME industry companies situation was conducted. The surveys were carried out by Kantar Millward Brown Poland. The speakers during the meeting for business and industry media were: Jan Filip Staniłko, Ministry of Development, Tomasz Hajduk, Siemens, Ph. D. Izabella Anuszewska, Kantar Millward Brown.

„Białe murowanie” on acoustics and energy efficiency

Protection against noise and reduction of energy consumption inside buildings are issues that modern constructors currently face. “Białe murowanie” Association has organised a press conference, speaking on the subject of those important from the point of view of modern architecture issues. Conference touched upon acoustics and energy-saving, especially in the context of building silicate walls. Technical experts: Piotr Harassek, Tomasz Połubiński and Mirella Magdziarz-Żak, secretary of the Association, remained available to the journalists. The meeting was also a chance to obtain information regarding actions undertaken by the company itself. Meeting was held on 28th March at Bouillon restaurant in Warsaw.

Energy efficiency during FOOD AUTOMATION

The debate on the subject of energy efficiency in the Polish food industry was the launch event of the second edition of the food industry conference FOOD AUTOMATION (Lodz, March 23-24 2017). In previously mentioned, moderated by Andrzej Gantner, Managing Director of the Polish Federation of Food Industry discussion took part: Tomasz Haiduk from Siemens, Krzysztof Musialak from TAURON Sales and Tomasz Prusinowski from ATER Logic. During this debate current energy efficiency issues in the Polish industry as well as consequences of changes in legal regulations were thoroughly discussed.

Conference „Arythmix Atrial Fibrillation”

Today is the first day of the „Arythmix Atrial Fibrillation”, conference taking place in Warsaw. Every hour stroke occurs in 8-10 Poles and in 2-3 cases it’s caused by atrial fibrillation. New technologies, including mobile applications, aim to bring help in those cases. This will be one of the topics discussed by several hundred cardiologists, neurologists and general practitioners. Additionally, current European Society of Cardiology guidelines as well as the latest methods of diagnosis and treatment will be discussed.
