We are currently in a special moment of development of control systems and the entire field of industrial automation. In just a few years, the work of automation and maintenance engineers will change dramatically due to emerging new technologies such as artificial intelligence and augmented reality, which Siemens is also devoting a lot of attention to – says Szymon Paprocki, director of Process Automation Division at Siemens, welcoming the conference guests.

The event was held under an honorary patronage of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow, the Polish Steel Association, the Chamber of Commerce of Polish Heat Engineering, the Chamber of the Natural Gas Industry, the Polish Chamber of Chemical Industry, the Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements and the Office of Technical Inspection.

TriVision starts operations in Poland – with Omega Communication’s support

08.03.2019

TriVision – a Danish company delivering vision technology solutions for the production industry – debuted on the Polish market. The company presented its key solutions – VisioPointer and SmartInspector – during the Warsaw Pack 2019 fairs. They automate control processes, reduce manual work, improve the quality of products, provide savings on costly withdrawals. The systems detect packaging unsealing, quality errors, incorrect labelling. As a result, defected packaging reject valuable goods less frequently, which leads to significant savings and reduced downtimes. Omega Communication was responsible for media relations, including arranging interviews during the fairs.

There is no digitization without the bosses’ awareness

01.03.2019

The change in organization towards digital transformation must come from above. Without the right attitude of the managing persons, the product labelled as “Industry 4.0” won’t do much, even though the technology necessary for digitization of processes has long been available, said Łukasz Otta, director of business development at Siemens, during the Zmieniamy Polski Przemysł Forum (a forum on changing the Polish industry) session on February 27 in Warsaw.

It was already the 19th edition of the event, which regularly hosts experts from Siemens. Łukasz Otta participated in the discussion “Modern factory, modern production. Industry 4.0 in Poland”, while Mariusz Kondraciuk, director of the Energy Management sector, took part in the panel “Power industry. Polish power industry in the heat of change”. In the discussion, he emphasized that the growing number of consumers (who become prosumers) and energy clusters is an inevitable trend in the energy sector.
