Cobots Expert’s Breakfast #4 – labour market

May robotisation be an answer towards the emerging challenges of the labour market related to the decreasing unemployment rate, demography, difficulty in filling some of the jobs? To what extent solutions enabling collaboration between human and robots – the essence of the Industry 5.0 may speed up the automation and development of the Polish enterprises? These matters were discussed during the fourth Universal Robots press meeting from the series Cobots Expert’s Breakfast organized in Warsaw in cooperation with the recruitment agency Antal.

Cobotic Forum ’18 – robots in action

Increasing the competitiveness of Polish manufacturing companies through the use of collaborative robots and applications was the leading topic of the second edition of the Cobotic Forum, which took place on 16th October 2018 in Wrocław. The event was organized by the company Encon-Koester. Wroclaw Agglomeration Development Agency was an honorary partner.

The event was attended by over 200 representatives of manufacturing companies, machine manufacturers and robotic solution integrators. During the substantive part of the Forum, 12 Polish and international experts presented solutions allowing to increase the optimization of manufacturing and logistic processes through the use of cobots.

Expectations of entrepreneurs in the era of digital revolution

Which IT tools are being used by various industries? How to invest in digitization to make it the most profitable for business? How to push digital economy forward – free market or governmental support? These are the themes of panels attended by Siemens experts: Tomasz Haiduk, Michał Kot and Łukasz Otta, during the first edition of the Nowy Przemysł Expo conference that took place at the beginning of September this year at the International Congress Center in Katowice. During this three-day event, over 50 discussion panels were organized, with the participation of nearly 250 lecturers and 3,000 guests.

Omega Communication was responsible for preparing and coordinating the presence of Siemens at this event, including media activities.

Universal Robots at Nowy Przemysł Expo

The first edition of the conference and fairs Nowy Przemysł Expo was organized by PTWP Group on 26-28 September in the International Conference Centre in Katowice. According to information from the organizer, nearly 250 speakers and 3000 guests participated in over 50 panel discussions and visited the Expo zone. Among experts and exhibitors was Universal Robots – the topic of collaborative robots perfectly fit the agenda of the event.

Omega Coordination was responsible for coordinating the participation of Universal Robots and media relations during the event.

Automotive 2018 – new challenges in the market

Are integrator companies prepared for the challenges posed by car manufacturers? How to overtake customer’s expectations in the era of challenges related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution? Debate about 2022 perspective in the automotive industry has started the 4th edition of conference which is organized annually by Siemens and Polish Confederation Lewiatan – Association of Employers in Automotive and Industrial Products. In the discussion moderated by Piotr Myszor from the wnp.pl portal took part: Michał Kot – Siemens, Leszek Olejarz – Aiut, Ryszard Czapski – Lear, Michał Lach – Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Tomasz Sołtysik – Adient. The event held on 6-7 September in Zakopane   was attended by nearly 200 engineers, maintenance directors and specialists responsible for investments in the automotive industry.

Seminar Railway 4.0 – Vectron locomotive test drives

Modern design of traction vehicles basing on the example of the Vectron locomotive and modern legal and organizational solutions in terms of sourcing carriers – this were the topics of the first edition of the seminar Railway 4.0 held on 6th of September 2018 in Żmigród-based Test Track Center of The Railway Research Institute. The meeting focused on presenting innovative research methods of the railway rolling stock and exchanging of opinions and best practices.

During the event, the official handover of the Siemens Vectron MS locomotive to the Lotos Kolej company took place.

Apart from the panel discussion, participants and journalists had opportunity to try the locomotive’s test drives.

Siemens, Industrial Division and the Railway Research Institute were the organisers of the event. ProKolej Foundation assumed the patronage of the seminar.

Omega Communication for Bayer Animal Health

“Flying Dogs” is a nationwide series of competitions that dogs present acrobatic skills in playing with a plastic disk (frisbee). These are spectacular events, attended by hundreds of animal, sports and healthy lifestyle fans – often by whole families. Bayer, as a partner of the events, provided the Mobile Clinic during the series, including advice of veterinary surgeons and first aid for dogs’ demontrations. Omega Communication was responsible for media relations focused on commitment of Bayer and Advantix brand (drops againts ticks, fleas and mosquitos). The project lasted from June to September 2018, and included cooperation with specialized media (for veterinarians), media for hobbyists (for dog owners), marketing media, as well as general information and life-style media in Warsaw, Poznań, Wrocław and the Tri-City area.

WIN PR Group – network meeting in Kraków

This year Kraków has welcomed the owners of agencies collaborating within the WIN PR Group (formerly Whiteoaks International Network). This was already the 11th network meeting, hosted this time by Omega Communication.

The main topics of this year’s international discussions were: Employee Advocacy Programs – how to effectively make the employees part of company communication, how to build effective and safe processes inside organisations and how to motivate the sales departments to participate in such projects.

The participants have also discussed the trends in public relations and communication – the changing media landscape, increasing role of automation and technologies that impact the entire industry.

The two-day meeting was also an opportunity for sharing best practices on agency management – a significant part of the time was spent on effective employee training, particularly of fresh employees, as well as gamification as a building block of company culture and employee commitment.

#SmartIndustryPolska 2018 – results of the study

Companies allocate 14,5% of the revenues in implementation of new technologies. Regardless barriers, Polish manufacturing enterprises from the SME sector still plan to invest in the technological development. The majority of companies was also improving employees’ competences through trainings, and even more companies plan to do that. Entrepreneurs expect from the state reducing the burden of bureaucracy, providing tax incentives and adapting education of technical staff by schools and universities to the needs of the modern industry.

Such were the conclusions of the study “Smart Industry Polska 2018” carried out in April for Siemens and the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology by Kantar Millward Brown on the group of companies: micro, small and medium-sized.

Smart City in Poland – cooperation is a must

Infrastructure’s development is one of the key elements of the economic growth of Poland. One of the tools supporting this element may be a public-private partnership (PPP), enabling for leveraging capital, knowledge and experience of the private sector in financing public investments and services. On the 9th of May 2018, in the Ministry of Investment and Economic Development, the conference Smart City in Poland was held. The aim of the seminary was promoting cooperation between public and private sector regarding Smart City. Over 70 representatives of the self-government administration from all across Poland participated in the event. The Ministry of Investment and Economic Development as well as Rzeszow city assumed patronage of the event.
